History

1987    
Foundation of FLASH ART GbR in Bielefeld by Markus Katterle and Andreas Korth.

1988       
FLASH ART is the first professional company that realises indoor fireworks.

1989
FLASH ART specialises in music synchronous fireworks.

1990
The company becomes a limited company.

1991
Foundation of the SFX branch in Cologne, Germany.

1992
Foundation of a branch in Berlin, Germany. Development of Pyrocon, our own product range for indoor and stage pyrotechnics.

1994   
FLASH ART accompanies the European tour of Pink Floyd, playing 51 cities in 14 countries which leads to the foundation of the division “Music & Promotion”.

1996   
Foundation of a subsidiary company in Wroclaw, Poland. FLASH ART becomes the general representative for Aquatique Show International in Germany and Poland. The development and realisation of a daily show for Warner Bros. Movie World Germany initiates the division “Installation”.

1997   
FLASH ART central offices move into its new Bielefeld premises.

1998   
FLASH ART introduces itself in the Middle East and realises 40 multimedia shows during the Dubai Shopping Festival. By winning the fireworks festival in Monaco, FLASH ART achieves the first prize of one of the most renowned competitions world-wide.

2000   
During the EXPO fair in Hanover, FLASH ART cares for the effects for 160 “Flambée - Human Facets” shows. For the second time FLASH ART wins the fireworks festival in Monaco and dominates over the winners of the last five years.

2001   
For the opening of the arena “AufSchalke” FLASH ART realises the biggest indoor fireworks in Europe.

2002   
Foundation of FLASH ART FX and Entertainment GmbH in Potsdam, Germany.

2004   
Foundation of a subsidiary company in Dubai and Hong Kong.
FLASH ART attends the EU enlargement ceremonies on Malta and arranges simultaneous shows in Poland, France and Germany.

2005
FLASH ART stages the Opening ceremony of the Allainz Arena in Munich. One of the most modern and fascinating soccer stadiums in Europe.

2006
FLASH ART stages various Megashows around the world. Among others the jubilee of King Bhumiphol of Thailand, the Asian Games in Doha, the FIFA Worldcup in Germany and the EU enlargement ceremonies in Bulgaria and Romania. 

2007
FLASH ART realises the terrific Gert Hof production on the occasion of the christening of the AIDAdiva in Hamburg as well as different shows around the Special Olympics in Shanghai.
