St Petersburg: Amazing Multimedia Show by FLASH ART for ‘Scarlet Sails’ ceremony

On the evening of 20th June 2009, 1 million of enthusiastic pupils, students and spectators had their eyes fixed on the Neva River in St Petersburg, Russia. With a massive multimedia show, the city of St Petersburg celebrated the graduation of Russian pupils and university students.

A first-class spectacle that symbolized the beginning of a new life. Every year on 20^th June, over 1 million people attend the festive ‘Scarlet Sails’ ceremony. This year, they were offered a special treat. For the second time, FLASH ART and its Russian partner staged a multimedia show consisting of water fountains, flame columns, laser projections and impressive fireworks. In the presence of Russian President Medvedev, the sky and the water surface beamed in synchronisation with live music played by the composer Anton Gryzlov and his orchestra. In the middle of the Neva River, FLASH ART put up a floating construction of 20 metres in height and 200 metres in length made up of fountains and water screens. 38 flame columns created breathtaking suspense and enthralled the enthusiastic audience. The 27-minute multimedia show was the high point of the general festivities around St Petersburg’s ‘White Nights Festival’. FLASH ART would like to thank all participants.
