On 30th May the opening of Europe’s biggest gymnastics festival took place in Frankfurt/Main. The spectators were rewarded with an innovative and spectacular show by, on and above the River Main.

Under the supervision of McCann Momentum an artistic concept had been created exclusively for the gymnastics festival by a team of directors and artists commissioned by the Tourism + Congress Plc of the City of Frankfurt. It produced a breathtaking choreography of fire, water, laser, light, pyrotechnics, fragrance, music and acrobatics. The FLASH ART Show Production Company directly participated in most of the units. In an unforgettable staging, music and choreography led to an unprecedented combination of the most diverse elements. Every night each of the seven consecutive shows enthralled over 150,000 spectators.
The individual units formed a water installation of 200 metres in length, with geysers of 45 metres in height, adjustable water cannons and countless fountains – a unique and amazing water show. Huge hydro-screens served as projecting surfaces for laser images and picture projections. The FLASH ART 3F-flame unit and the pyrotechnical staging, synchronised with music and consisting of over 1,000 individual ignitions, drew impressive images into the night sky over Frankfurt. Light, laser and beamer projections ensured a colourful feast for the senses. Large, flying helium balloons – so-called Flying Spheres – as well as paragliders and jet skiers completed the show with special effects and acrobatics. The entire FLASH ART hydro- and pyrotechnology and the 3F-flame unit were installed on floating constructions in the middle of the River Main. Special Cannons steeped the scene in a subtle fragrance and turned the event into an unforgettable experience, not only for the eyes and ears. With its Fragrance Cannons FLASH ART is treading completely new ground in media production for all senses.
FLASH ART would like to say thank you to all partners for this great cooperative project.

The event was held to honor the 78th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen and was opened by General Prawit, the Minister of Defense and Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya.
