New Years Eves, 2008-2009, Vilnius, Lithuania.

On the 31st of December 2008, light architect Gert Hof and FLASH ART mesmerized the world with a spectacular fireworks and light display, celebrating the Millennium of Lithuania's Name as well as the opening of the program Vilnius-European Capital of Culture 2009.

Illuminating the night sky above the famous Bell tower which stands majestically next to the cathedral of Saint Stanislaus. The spectacular pyro musical show combined with light and laser transformed the historical town of Vilnius into a magical sight awash with an array of colors complimented by music of which many dazzled local spectators complimented as being an 'unforgettable memory' and ' a heart thumping emotional experience' , never seen before in this samogitian  Lithuanian town.

Featured in this historical event, GertHof and FLASH ART unveiled Vilnius town, bringing together the architectural as well as the cultural and historical aspects into light. The fireworks exploded at midnight; comets, roman candles, red and green magnesium flares, fire pots, and other breathtaking effects shot up into the night sky over the cathedral square with the show of light, music and laser.
